Selling a business is a complex and intense task. Properly managed, the divestiture process
usually takes four to six months and includes the following steps:
- Preparation of Information Document
- Identification and screening of prospective acquirers
- Distribution and review of Information Document with prospective acquirers
- Supplementary information and follow up meetings/discussions on strategic fit/valuation threshold
- Assessment of offers and negotiations
- Offer acceptance and assistance through due diligence to closure
|
It is important that the business being sold remains well managed throughout this time period.
We work co-operatively with owners and senior managment through every phase of the divestiture process,
while minimizing demands on their time, allowing them to focus on managing the operation.
